Program Notes and Recordings

I.

The first movement is a piece based on something else I wrote, which itself was written from a composition prompt.

II.

This movement also grew out of a composition prompt.

III.

The beginning of this movement is inspired by 12-tone technique, but all of the pitches in the row are a perfect fifth apart - so, not much of a row. From there, I work on harmonizing the piece as if it were completely tonal.
